UHMW is Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene. Basically it's a hard plastic sleeve that slips over the SPC peg and is fastened on with a plastic plug. This is accepted as an alternative to removing your pegs at a growing number of parks. The sleeve can be installed or removed in seconds without having to take off your peg.
